Our FAMILY
The Phoenician Garden Mediterranean Bar and Grill is a family-owned and operated restaurant proudly run by the Hmaidan family, consisting of Mounir (Mo), his wife Bebe, their son Tarek, and daughter Lana.
Mo's passion for cooking and love for making people happy stems from his childhood in Lebanon, where he worked in a Mediterranean restaurant and discovered his love for the cuisine. He honed his skills in Los Angeles by working in a Greek restaurant and a lobster house, before opening his first diner in Turlock, California. However, he moved to the Fresno area to be closer to family and opened a Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Fresno.
In 2003, Mo realized his dream of creating a unique restaurant concept and opened The Phoenician Garden Mediterranean Bar and Grill. With a focus on presentation and taste, Phoenician Garden serves classic Mediterranean dishes with a few American twists, and Mo continues to innovate and create new dishes that embody the best of Mediterranean cuisine.
